New arfield products

In our continuous effort to meet all the needs of our clients and offer a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, we have added two new product lines: Aircraft Service Pits and Solar-powered airfield lights.

🛠️ What are Aircraft Service Pits?

Aircraft Service Pits (also known as in-ground pit systems or GSE pits) are subsurface service access points installed in the apron or ramp area. They supply all the essential utilities an aircraft needs while parked-ground power (e.g. 400 Hz AC or 28.5 V DC), pre-conditioned air (PCA), water (potable or service), compressed air, and other services directly from the pit next to the aircraft stand. This provides a safer, cleaner, and more efficient alternative to mobile ground support equipment (GSE) scattered across the apron.

Within our offering, we provide both Hatch Pits and Pop-up Pits, each with its own advantages:

  • Hatch Pits: These have a robust, flush-mounted lid that remains level with the pavement surface. When closed, the pit cover resists heavy loads from taxiing or service vehicles. They are ideal when a permanent, unobtrusive installation is required, for example, at gate positions or hangars.

  • Pop-up Pits: These feature a mechanism (counterweight, hydraulic or electric) that raises the access panel when needed. They offer rapid deployment of services and minimum visual impact when closed. This system is perfect for apron stands where flexibility is key and heavy load-bearing capacity is required.

The benefits of Service Pits are significant: reduced apron congestion, faster aircraft turnaround, elimination of mobile GSE around the aircraft (minimizing damage risk), and streamlined ground operations.

☀️ Solar-Powered Airfield Lights: Flexible, Sustainable & Efficient

In addition, we have launched a new line of

Airfield solar light

solar-powered airfield lights, engineered for marking out-of-service areas, temporary closures, and airfield obstructions. These units comply fully with ICAO/EASA standards, ensuring safety, visibility, and regulatory compliance.

Soon we will also introduce solar solutions for Taxiway Edge, Runway Edge, Threshold, and End-of-Runway applications. This new solar lighting range reinforces AES Airport Solutions’ commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient technologies.

Key Features:

  • ✅ High-efficiency LEDs with low light
  • decay and long lifespan
  • ✅ Special optical design ensuring optimal visibility and uniform light distribution
  • ✅ Lightweight aluminum alloy body with excellent heat dissipation
  • ✅ Maintenance-free installation — sealed and built to endure harsh airfield conditions
  • ✅ Built-in lithium battery for extended autonomous operation
  • ✅ Anti-surge and anti-interference protection for stable performance
  • ✅ Portable solar charging — easy to deploy anywhere on the airfield
  • ✅ Optional 5 km remote control, including steady/flashing modes and 3-level dimming
