The RELZ-12-LED is a zero water design LED in-pavement combined runway edge light for airports up to CAT III, in compliance with ICAO Figures A2-9 and A2-10. The 12-inch forged aluminium housing delivers multi-colour beam configurations (white, yellow, and red) with an optional omnidirectional clear beam for circling guidance, all from a single fixture with just 6 mm of profile above the pavement and IP68 ingress protection.
The LED light source provides a minimum of 60,000 hours at maximum brightness and over 100,000 hours under normal operating conditions. Available in multiple beam colour combinations and with optional Arctic Kit, the RELZ-12-LED replaces conventional halogen runway edge fixtures without any changes to existing series circuit infrastructure.
Application / Use
LED in-pavement rapid exit taxiway indicator light for airports CAT I, II and III, according to ICAO Figures A2-6 and A2-7. Installed along the runway centreline in advance of rapid exit taxiway intersections, the RAPS-08-LED provides pilots with an alternating yellow signal that indicates the location and direction of the upcoming exit. This allows the crew to plan the deceleration and turn-off at the optimal speed, reducing runway occupancy time and increasing runway throughput capacity.
